Pinkerton offers lots of options for participation in clubs and sports. They have an on campus Career and Technology program that offers a wide variety of fields to explore.

The best part of my high school journey was sports, school spirit, and clubs. These activities allowed me to make friends and participate in fun events and games. The worst part is probably my administration. I have met with my advisors and councilors once at most, and they do not know me at all. For college applications I needed them to do a letter of recommendation, which upset me a little bit, because its a recommendation from someone who doesn't even know me as a person and only sees my grades.

During my time at Pinkerton Academy, I fulfilled the school until my junior year. Pinkerton Academy made me feel so safe and I wish I had seen that sooner. Pinkerton has amazing resources to prepare its students for college and even post-college. In addition, Pinkerton has a beautiful and diverse student life whether it comes to clubs, sports, or even just students in general. Pinkerton is a wonderful school when it comes to academics and readiness for the post-high school life. I would definitely recommend Pinkerton Academy for high school.

Majority of my teachers have been really nice and I have learned a lot even though I’ve only been going for a little over a year.

Pinkerton is a very large school that has a lot to offer to students who take advantage of it. Attending Pinkerton has allowed me to really explore myself, in ways such as: finding a career path, making new friends, and advancing academically. Despite its large community, as I have grown up in this school I feel as though they suffocate and hide us from the real world. The rules tend to be very strict and were shielded any bad things that could be happening. They are however doing this to protect us so there are no bad intentions behind it, it is just often annoying from a student perspective.

Pinkerton Academy is incredibly good at preparing students for college. Between the grading systems, courses, and campus, it all makes for an easy adjustment for a student going to college.

Although when some may fill this out they may just say all things good just to earn this scholarship. But my true thoughts on pinkerton academy is that this school this huge, it is an actual college campus with enless oppurtunity. They have classes and oppurtunitys in every catagory, with my favorite experices being able to become CPR and First aid certified in animals. My least favorite experices at pinketon would incude how some of the kids act and how ungrateful they are for the amout of opprtunity they are given. I would like to see a change in the additude of kids, this could happen by teachers making classes more fun and interactive/

I transferred into Pinkerton Academy my junior year of high school and first coming in, I took a tour of the entire campus and was in awe of the size and unlimited opportunities given to students. The academics were far greater than what I had been receiving at my last school. However the one thing that left me feeling disappointed was the amount of recognition certain students got. I felt that there were so many students in the school that academically achieving students were left unnoticed if they weren't part of larger clubs and organizations.

Pinkerton Academy provides a great number of amazing academics and resources to its students. Although the school may be big with countless students, there is a place for every student to find their own unique place in.

My experience at Pinkerton has overall been positive but also very different from many different high schoolers, as Pinkerton Academy has many more students than most high schools. This unique atmosphere allows students to familiarize themselves with what college environments may entail, as the campus is very large and there is a vast amount of students, similar to a college. With such an abundance of students and faculty, also comes an abundance of opportunities as there are many different sports, clubs, and honor societies that students can get involved with. There are many different resources that students can utilize to help with academics and overall support, such as subject-specific learning centers that provide tutoring, as well as many counselors who are very easy to contact.

Most of the teachers at the school are great and greatly care about their jobs and students. It can be difficult to get to class on time if you need to go across the entire campus for the next class. The food that we are given for lunch is not good. It is usually quite bland and is not fulfilling.

I don’t really like it it’s not that great and struggles to connect to students due to the size of it. There are resources but they are not advertised enough for all to know. Also teachers mock important resources like school counseling and make it so some students avoid the important resources like that

At first, it can be a little overwhelming due to how many students there are. Personally, I moved here from a different school due to bullying and there isn’t a lot of bullying at this school because of how many people there are. I have noticed though that there are individuals who say the “n word” and they think it’s funny to harass people- they do not get a punishment. The academics are much harder than other schools and we are given extra help periods everyday. They are building a new building right now while the buildings we have are breaking.

Over the past four years at Pinkerton Academy, I have found that it has some of the best extra-curricular classes, clubs, and academics in a public school near me. Some of my friends that go to other schools are shocked by the opportunities that we have in this school. There is good and bad teachers from what I have experienced, but the academics are what you make of it in my opinion. I have learned a lot of school and personal knowledge from being here.

I feel that starting Freshman year during COVID had a huge impact on my high school career. I believe that I missed the opportunity to connect with other freshman during such uncertain times. With Pinkerton being such a large school, I was really looking forward to meeting new people, beyond my middle school classmates. I struggled to connect with people beyond that first year. The best parts were the teachers that I connected with during my classes. I was very fortunate to have many teachers that were able to teach, to many different learning styles. For the majority of my time, I felt supported by my teachers/counselors and was grateful that they took the time to get to know me, even though there are so many students in their classes.

The campus is very welcoming to all kinds of students. The staff help walk you through your career path from freshman to senior year. There are many different kinds of students here, all of which hang out with one another and have a great time socially. The campus is quite big, so walking from class to class can be a pain sometimes, but it's also good exercise! The classes themselves are very engaging and there are so many resources to help you. The campus is well protected, maintained, and kept up to date. Overall, an absolute 10/10 high school and definitely worth attending.
